DOCTORS' CONSULTATION TIMES
(Please note these may sometimes vary)
Central Surgery
There are morning surgeries on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 8.40 and 11.10am, and on Thursday between 9.30am and 12 noon.
There is an afternoon surgery on Wednesday between 2.00 and
4.00pm.
There are evening surgeries on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 4.30 and 6.00pm, and on Thursday between 4.15 and 5.45pm.
Extended hours are available Tuesday OR Wednesday until 7.40/7.50pm.
Thorpe Surgery
There are morning surgeries on Monday (9.00 - 11.30am), Tuesday and Thursday (8.40 - 11.10am), and Wednesday and Friday (9.30am - 12 noon).
There are evening surgeries every day except Wednesday between 4.30 and 6.00pm.
Extended hours are available until 7.30pm on Mondays and Thursdays; Fridays until 7.40/7.50pm.
The above times may be subject to alteration when a doctor is on annual leave.
OFF DUTY COVER
If your doctor is off duty, including holidays and study leave, another doctor will be available to cover. This may be one of his partners or a deputy doctor.
Please telephone the surgery for advice if required.
PRACTICE NURSE
Lavinia Waller is available by appointment. She can help with cervical smears,
children's vaccinations, blood pressure checks, health checks, asthma
checks, diabetes check, smoking cessation, diet supervision, foreign
holiday injections, travel advice and routine injections.

community nurse visits the ill and
housebound if necessary.
HEALTH
VISITORS
The health visitor holds a clinic
for child development checks at Warrior House, Southchurch Road, Southend-on-Sea, Monday to Friday mornings for Central Surgery patients and Thorpe
Bay patients by appointment.
Health visitors will visit the homes
of parents with children under six years if necessary.
They can
also provide information, advice and support to the elderly if required.
